Autumn Stairway is inspired by the staircase leading from the rose garden to the entrance of The Gardens at Heather Farms. This view was intriguing to me and I explored the depth created by adding in the stairway that is a prominant part of the design of the rose garden area. The Gazebo would be to the left of the painting and a beautiful purple blooms on the salvia plant blooms in the left forground of the painting. There is a fun tree in the middle ground that is a bit leaning to the left.  Follow the stairs to the back and there is a tree that is showing the autumn season with its ombre red, yellow and orange hue. This painting was painted in plein air. 
 
Created during my residency at The Gardens at Heather Farms, the artwork captures the essence of a fall afternoon in an extremely tranquil garden. With every purchase of this piece, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Gardens at Heather Farms, supporting their ongoing efforts.
