This cactus was blooming on my last day of my 2025 residency at The Ruth Bancroft Garden. I snapped a picture and worked on this painting in my home studio. The blooms were large and gorgeous! I loved painting this painting. I worked on it as I do when I work from photo. I turn it upside down and paint in sections. It is so fun to dive in and get abstract in some parts. 
 
It is a larger painting and really adds a wow factor to your space.
