This original painting was painted on the Eel River off Highway 101 in Northern California. It was painted on location and with my feet in the water! Using the water from the Eel River. I grew up camping at the Benbow SRA campground near Garberville and loved revisiting this place with my children. You can float on the river, and swim. The Eel River snakes along HWY 101 and the Redwoods. It is perfect Northern California location to get nature, cool water to swim in and relax in the warm sun. 
 
This painting is more realized, pushing closer to realism. I worked on it over three sessions building up to capture the foreground, middle ground and background. I wanted to include the HWY, as they follow each other.
