This painting was created on location in Yosemite Valley. I set up my painting location not far off from Clark Bridge along the Merced River. It was beautiful and the view of Half Dome was amazing with a meadow in the foreground, pine trees in the the middle area and then the face of Half Dome rising up before me. I wanted to capture the granite and the sheer face. It is awe inspiring and tempting. One of Americas true must see monuments.
