This painting is an abundance of summer’s bounty here in Northern California. A gathering of colorful lime greens and sweet pinks, black and white and soft turquoise.
The fruits pictured in this still life are from my neighborhood, apples, pears and grapes, given to me by lovely neighbors who had too much and wanted to share. The hydrangea is from my backyard. It bloomed at the beginning of summer and has stayed in bloom for 3 months now but turning lime green and soft mauve pink on its way out. The oregano has little blooms and is from my small garden. The bowl was made by an Armenian artist in Alameda. The turquoise ceramic vase I picked up at a farm in MA. And I love Mason jars.
