This painting is part of 3 paintings I completed during a day spent painting at the Eugene O'Neill Tao House in the Las Trampas Hills in Danville California. It was April when I painted in the courtyard at Tao House and the wisteria was in it's glory.
 
It was so captivating I wanted right away to paint it. I tried to get up close but the bees were working dilgently and I could not get any closer than the distance in the painting. I did think this was interesting, something so beautiful, but also dangerous with the bees all around it.
